Following the success of the 2015 programme, the DAC hosted the Team Responsibility and Competitiveness Evaluation (TRACE) programme at reduced rate to member firms. It is run over a nine week period, one day per week, which commenced in May 2016.

The TRACE skills programme focused on developing a strong understanding by participants of key World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles. In addition to the theory sessions, the training had a strong practical mentoring and coaching component to ensure implementation and drive real business benefit.

TRACE is a merSETA accredited skills programme and constitutes 59 credits towards the National Certificate in Production Technology. It is intended to address the skills gap at a shop floor team leader/manager level.
