The Durban Automotive Cluster’s Manufacturing Excellence Programme is a strategic initiative aimed to fast track competitiveness and assist firms in implementing Lean, world-class manufacturing systems and processes.

Quarter 1 2020 is fully subscribed, but we welcome firms looking to participate in the programme in Quarters 2, 3 and 4 to contact us by emailing dac@bmanalysts.com

The three-month programme starts with firms receiving a benchmark where key recommendations to improve operational efficiencies are identified. Thereafter, firms receive 3-5 days executive mentorship to implement benchmark recommendations and a comprehensive operator capacity-building programme focused on equipping operators with the tools to identify and implement Lean solutions in everyday operational challenges. Operators are further supported in the implementation of projects that effect real change.

In addition to the direct, firm-level support, participating firms can learn from leading enterprises through the DAC’s World Class Manufacturing peer-learning programme.
